Step 2. Use CHKDSK to corrections of this error

Here is the manual for using chkdsk:

Step 1: Click on the Start menu. Enter “cmd” in the search bar and click OK.

If, after this, the “file record segment is unreadable” error has not disappeared, try another option.

Step 3. Take out your hard drive
